When God Says “No”

Nobody I know likes “No’s.”
We don’t like hearing “No” when we work hard to get the job.
We don’t like hearing “No” when we ask a girl to the dance.
We don’t like hearing “No” when we make an offer on a home.
We don’t like hearing “No” when we offer an idea and it gets shot down.
Our wants become desires and desires become pursuits. We chase after a “Yes” believing no obstacle will impair us from satisfaction.
We dream about the “Yes”.
We plan for the “Yes”.
We see ourselves living the “Yes”.
Then it comes. That “No”.
I believe every person understand this cycle. That is why I must tackle it this Sunday.
We address one of the most difficult “No’s” in the Bible. God saying “No” to his ace player from demonic oppression after repeated requests, pleas and tears. That’s human drama. That’s divine drama.
That’s what’s next in our Jesus 365 study.
